9 DAYS MAASAI MARA, LAKE NAKURU, NAIROBI, LAKE MANYARA, SERENGETI AND NGORONGORO CRATER

Day 1: Nairobi – Maasai mara

We will arrange to pick you up from your Nairobi Hotel or from the airport and be transferred to our office for briefing and meeting the group for the day departure. The safari will start from 0830am to 0840hrs, from Nairobi to Maasai mara we will cover a distance of 270kms but we will make two stops on the way. The first stop will be at Viewpoint where we will see the escarpment wall and the second will be at Narok Town for early lunch. Upon arrival at Maasai mara, you will check-in followed by an evening game drive for at least 3 hours game drive till sunset. Dinner and overnight will be served where you will be staying either the camp or lodge.

Day 2: maasai mara full day.

Breakfast at the camp/lodge then with picnic lunch leave before 0800am for a full day game viewing inside this savannah grassland game reserve. Maasai mara is a popular game reserve that has a great number of animal species and a variety of birds. You will have at least 9 hours of game viewing to explore the beauty of this game reserve. Maasai mara is well known for its great annual migration and a game drive to the point where the crossing takes place is mandatory. You will leave the reserve by 1700hrs so that you have at least 2 hours to relax, visit Maasai village or take a nature walk. Dinner and overnight at your camp/lodge.

Day 3: Maasai mara – Lake Nakuru

By 0600am take a cup of tea or coffee and leave for a morning game viewing. You will have the sunrise view and track the wildcats as they hunt their prey, if you will be lucky enough you will be able to see a Kill. By 0900am to 0930am return to the camp or lodge for full breakfast, later check out, and leave Maasai mara region for Lake Nakuru. We will make a stopover at Lake Naivasha for optional activity at extra cost if you will wish to. Upon arrival at Nakuru you will check-in at your Hotel or Lodge. Those staying at the lodge will have a game drive en route to the lodge. But for those staying at the hotel, there will be no game drive at all.

Day 4: Lake Nakuru – Nairobi

Breakfast then leave for a 4 hours game drive at lake Nakuru which is the place to see the endangered Rhinoceros. Lake Nakuru is also famous for the Flamingos but it all depends on the season and water level at the lake. The other big three can be spotted in this park except for the Elephants. Later Leave lake Nakuru and drive to Nairobi where you will be dropped at your Hotel { Kindly the hotel is not covered by the package, we will be able to give recommendations if required about where to stay}

Day 5: Nairobi – Arusha

Pick up from your Nairobi Hotel; and be transferred to shuttle bus by 0700am and start at 0800am from Nairobi, It will be a 4 hours drive To Arusha. We will cross the border at Namanga arriving at Arusha Hotel around 1300hrs. Meet our driver and be transferred to Arusha Hotel which will be booked bed and breakfast only { Dinner on own}

Day 6: Arusha – Lake Manyara

Pick up from Arusha Hotel and be introduced to our guide, leave Arusha before 0900am and drive to lake Manyara. The drive will take at least 2hrs 30 minutes. Upon arrival with the package, lunch proceeds for a game drive. Lake Manyara is widely known as the home of flamingos and the tree climbing Lions. You will find this lake to be unique as its supplied by water by underground springs and its wildlife is very easy to spot. After sunset leaves the parka and proceed to the camp or lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Lake Manyara – Serengeti.

Leave Lake Manyara region in the morning for a long drive to Serengeti National Park, you will take at least 5 hrs 30 minutes to get to Serengeti. Upon arrival have an evening game drive till sunset. Serengeti is wider and highly known for its massive annual migration of the wildebeest and Zebras which move from their breeding ground on the north side to the South part crossing the Grumeti River which as a lot of Crocodiles. After sunset return to the camp or Lodge for Dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Crater

Early morning breakfast then leave for the morning game drive, the game drive will not be long as you will have to travel to the Ngorongoro Conservancy area. Leave the park with a picnic lunch and make a stopover at Olduvai Gorge for an optional visit. Olduvai Gorge is the museum where the remains of mankind were found. You will learn more from the guide snd if interested the guide will take you there. Arrive at Ngorongoro late in the evening. Proceed to the lodge or camp for Dinner and overnight.

Day 9: Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha

You will have Breakfast at the camp or your Lodge then leave with a picnic lunch for a great and amazing game drive. Ngorongoro crater is one of the wonders of the world and you will have 6 hours to explore this crater. With packed lunch descend the crater with game viewing. You will have a great and awesome view of wildlife as you drive down. Ngorongoro crater as few of the remain black Rhinos, buffalos, Elephants, Zebras, Wildebeest among other animals. Picnic at the crater rim, later ascend to the main gate and drive back to Arusha. You will be dropped at Arusha Hotel booked bed and breakfast.
